NASA/SP-8081, Liquid propellant gas generators, NASA SPACE VEHICLE DESIGN CRITERIA (Chemical), NASA Lewis Research Center (Cleveland, OH, United States), March,1972, pp. 110, Format(s): PDF 11723k |
The design of gas generators intended to provide hot gases for turbine drive is discussed. Emphasis is placed on the design and operation of bipropellant gas generators because of their wideruse. Problems and limitations involved in turbine operation due to temperature effects are analyzed. Methods of temperature control of gas turbines and combustion products are examined. Drawings of critical sections of gas turbines to show their operation and areas of stress are included.
